To all my Wisconsin Mutual Clients. Some good news:

Dear Agents,

We have spoken to many of you over the past few days in regards to the relief checks and credits that are occurring throughout the industry for auto policies. We are pleased to announce that the attached letter will be mailed to our policyholders early next week with a check to follow.
We will post this in Agent Access as well and update our wiins.com website. Please feel free to share the news with our policyholders if you receive inquiries prior to the letter being mailed.

While many of the WMI employees are working from home, we are providing the same high level customer service both you and our policyholders are accustomed to experiencing. Some of the things that we are doing differently during the COVID-19 pandemic are summarized for you here:
• Coverage for food delivery on our personal lines auto policies during the pandemic
• Flexibility in payment plans and options
• Allowing one month down on new business when needed
• Leniency in underwriting regarding cancellations and non-renewals
• COVID-19 relief check
o Will be sent to active policyholders (letter early next week and check the following week)
o $50 check per auto policy with at least one full coverage vehicle
o $25 check per auto policy that is liability only
o WI OCI has approved refund and MN still pending.

While things are changing daily as a result of these extraordinary times, we are a company that has worked hard to serve our community, agents and policyholders for the past 100 plus years and this is something that will not change.

Be well, stay healthy and thank you for your partnership!

Contractors
Are you covered in the event of an accident?
Say you are a carpet cleaner. You put in the wrong solution, and it damaged the carpet? Is it covered under your General Liability policy?
The answer is No. The contractor would have to pay it out of pocket, unless they have the Contractor's Errors and Omissions endorsement.
What if you followed all the correct specifications for cleaning the carpet, but the carpet got ruined anyways? Is this covered under your General Liability Policy?
The answer is No. The contractor would have to pay the resulting damage out of pocket unless they have the "Voluntary Property Damage" endorsement on their policy.
Make sure you are covering yourself on your insurance. The endorsements do not cost that much to include in on the General Liability policy. It just might save you allot of money in the long run. Inquire with your Insurance Agent.
