🚜🌽 Harvest season is here! A little patience goes a long way when sharing the road with farm equipment. Remember, farmers are working long hours to bring in the harvest, and everyone deserves to make it home safely.

Thank you to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office for sharing these important reminders! 🌾

As harvest season gets underway, be alert for farm vehicles and equipment traveling on Sauk County roadways.

Remember to share the road, slow down when approaching farm equipment, pass only when it is safe and legal to do so, and most importantly—be patient.

Drive safely, Sauk County, and enjoy the fall!

Sauk County Farm Bureau continues to closely follow the proposed transmission line project and its potential impacts on farmers and landowners in our county.

Yesterday, Sauk County Farm Bureau President Kat Peper participated in a call with Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Government Relations team and county Farm Bureau presidents from the 10 counties potentially impacted by the project. WFBF is actively working to better understand the concerns being raised and determine how Farm Bureau can best support members and landowners as this process moves forward.

We encourage everyone who may be impacted to review the information shared below by Wisconsin Farm Bureau and sign up for email updates to stay informed as new information becomes available.

At this stage in the process, it is also important for landowners and community members to continue submitting comments directly to the project developer before the September deadline.Make your concerns known, ask questions and document the potential impacts to your farm, property and operation.

Sauk County Farm Bureau will continue working with Wisconsin Farm Bureau and sharing information with our members as we receive it.

If you are a Farm Bureau member or landowner who may be impacted by the proposed routes, we want to hear from you! Please reach out to Wisconsin Farm Bureau or Sauk County Farm Bureau President Kat Peper. Hearing directly from those who may be affected will help us better understand the concerns facing our members and agricultural community.

We will continue to advocate for agriculture, private property rights and a process that gives farmers and landowners a meaningful voice.
