New loan limits for a conventional mortgage has been released. Up to $766,550! (A two unit up to $981,500, a three unit up to $1,186,350, and a four unit up to $1,474,400). When loan sizes exceed these amounts, the loan is considered a "jumbo" mortgage which can have different loan terms associated.

Some great news - a 2-4 unit primary residence can now be purchased with a small down payment of only 5% on a conventional loan. With an FHA loan, that down payment can be as little as 3.5% of the purchase price. Expanding options for first-time homebuyers!

Today - new loan limits for 2023 announced! The max loan size for a conforming mortgage will be $726,200. Loan amounts higher than this are considered a "Jumbo" mortgage and have some variances in underwriting and loan terms. Many of the lenders we work with are accepting these new loan sizes on their conventional loan terms starting today!
