If you haven't heard of the Christine B. Foundation, I encourage you to take a few minutes to learn more about their mission and the difference they're making. We're fortunate to have organizations like this serving our community.

Their mission is to support those facing cancer by extending access to healthy food, nutritional information, and community connections essential to their strength and comfort. The Christine B. Foundation and the executive director, Matt Dexter, have touched the lives of so many individuals and families facing cancer. They are truly inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers, donates, and supports their work. It makes a lasting difference.

We wanted to take a moment to recognize our 2026 Stethoscopes That Shine Award Recipients!

⭐Our Featured Recipient, Corinne Chew – University of Maine Orono
“Every day after class, she would come up and talk to me about what we discussed in class. Even though she was the same age as the majority of the class, she really stood out to me as someone who was mature and was serious about nursing and being the best she could be in this profession.”

I see this care from Heidi consistently and if it is my loved in the bed we could be so lucky to have Heidi as her nurse.”

Open for 2026 Nominations🌟 3rd Annual 'Stethoscopes That Shine' Award:

This initiative honors the bright, dedicated, and inspiring future nurses of Maine, and we need your help to recognize them.

✔️Who can be nominated?
We invite registered healthcare professionals to nominate a STUDENT NURSE who is currently residing and attending school in Maine and stands out for their commitment, passion, and drive in the healthcare field.

✔️What’s the reward?
A state of the art Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope will be gifted to 3 outstanding students pursuing nursing in Maine. These exceptional students will be nominated by current healthcare professionals who see them shining bright in their efforts to learn and care for others.

✔️How to Submit a Nomination:
Simply email [email protected] with the following details:
• Nominator’s name, professional title (RN, NP, DO, etc.), and contact information.
• Nominee’s name, their college/nursing program affiliation, and contact information.
• A statement describing how this nominee is making a positive impact on Maine healthcare.

✔️Deadline for Nominations:
All eligible nominations must be submitted via email by March 1, 2026.

✔️Winner Announcement:
Three winners will be contacted and announced by May 1st, 2026.
