New Murals for the Cowboy Capital of the World!

Come visit the breezeway, sip a cold one, and view the incredible murals highlighting "Red Neck"—the beautiful longhorn that used to spend a lot of time in Bandera, recalling the Great Western Trail Days, and offering awesome photo ops at First National Ice Haus. 📸

Pipe Creek, local artist MSY Art Projects - Melissa Sutherland, was commissioned to highlight the cowboy culture and primitive history of Bandera through her bright and joyful art. She has been busy painting three western murals in the side courtyard of the First National Ice Haus on Main Street. Live music 🎶 most weekends too!

The timing is perfect. Today, June 12, is the 2nd Anniversary of xTx founder Charlie Gandy, dreaming up the trail.
“I saw the possibility of creating an Appalachian type trail across Texas, and I realized that I might be the right guy to do it.”

A very big thank you to the Bandera Bulletin for helping share this exciting news and to Diana Walters of the Bandera Equine Posse, OST Restaurant + First National Ice Haus for setting it into motion!

Bandera, Texas, "Cowboy Capital of the World" has officially joined the XTexas Legacy Trail!

Yes! Bandera's is now included on our official Ride with GPS route!
