The House has approved legislation allowing year-round nationwide sales of E-15, handing corn, sorghum and ethanol groups a major policy win.

Lawmakers passed the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act Wednesday by a 218-to-203 vote. Supporters say the measure would expand domestic demand for grain while offering consumers another lower-cost fuel option.

USDA is maximizing disaster assistance support to producers by issuing a second Supplemental Disaster Relief Program payment to eligible producers. Initial payments were factored by 35% and the payment factor is increasing to 70%, meaning producers with approved applications will receive an additional 35% of their calculated payment.

Additionally, producers have more time to apply. The April 30 deadline has been extended to Aug. 12, 2026, for Stage 1 and Stage 2.
