Our friends at Western Wayne Ambulance took advantage of the great weather today for some training. Keep up the good work!

Today, Western Wayne Ambulance held it's first agency training since before the COVID shutdown. A mix of volunteers and paid staff came together to train using "mock 911 call" scenarios. So far this year, Western Wayne Ambulance has responded to just short of 600 calls for service. We train to provide the best possible service for the residents of Walworth, Marion, and all surrounding towns!

WAVES is proud to present Award of Excellence Medals to Paramedic Madison Kearns and EMT Beth Merrill Dailey as they went above and beyond their call of duty! A very nice letter was received from SJH ER RN Darling who stated their acts helped her tremendously as she was overwhelmed with patients and short staffed. RN Darling also mentioned how appreciative she is of all our providers who work at the WAVES and Minoa stations. We appreciate all of you!

Documentation Tips for the COVID-19 Pandemic:

- Mark all possible or actual COVID-19 transports, and include those claims in your ongoing tracking.
- If your ePCR vendor has included a checkbox, be sure to utilize it—appropriately, so that you are not selecting conflicting boxes.
-- If you utilize paper charts, or if your vendor has not added COVID-specific checkboxes, make sure to include the wording “confirmed COVID” or “presumed positive COVID-19” or “suspected/possible COVID-19” in your documentation
