According to Jeff Bezos, the bottom half of income earners in the U.S already pay so little in federal income taxes, that they shouldn’t be required to pay any at all!

Many are claiming that Trump’s IRS settlement will block all future tax audits of him and his family, but that is not the case. ❌

The settlement only blocks any ONGOING examinations of his tax returns, including a year where he allegedly could owe more than $100 million.

However, he will not be off the hook for any future alleged misconduct.

As part of the new state budget proposal, Gov. Newsom is considering reducing the current franchise tax on NEW LLCS. ⬇️

This would bring the tax down from $800 to $400.

LLCs and corporations pay this tax to the state annually, even if the business made little or no money.

Some critics say they should just get rid of the tax altogether, but others agree that cutting it would help out entrepreneurs who are just starting out, and need all the money they can get.

For 2026, the business mileage rate is 72.5 cents per mile, which can add up to a pretty big tax deduction. 🛣️

But if you want to take full advantage of this deduction, the key is to make sure you keep a record. 📓

Specifically, you need a valid business mileage log. Do this and you’ll be able to reduce your tax bill and be compliant with IRS rules.

The proposed billionaire tax is (almost) officially going to be on the November ballot. 🗳️

The measure has enough signatures, however the state still needs to verify those signatures before giving the thumbs up. 👍

Still, even though many Californians approve, 6 out of 7 of the candidates to be the next governor of the state disapprove of the the tax.

What do you think? Are you for or against the billionaire tax? 🤔
