✨ Director Spotlight: Daniel Terry ✨

Growing up in Wasco, Daniel Terry was surrounded by agriculture and the strong sense of community that comes with it. Today, he serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Agricultural Products for Holloway.

Daniel says one of the things he enjoys most about agriculture is working alongside honest people to solve problems and learning from the wisdom of those who came before him. He also appreciates the reminder that many parts of this industry are out of our hands, keeping him grounded and reminding him where success truly comes from.

His decision to serve as a KCFB director comes from a desire to give back to the agricultural community that has given so much to his family over the years.

Read our latest blog post to learn more about Daniel’s story, career, and passion for agriculture. 🌱

When agriculture is on the line, it is important to have a seat at the table. 🌎🚜

Kern County Farm Bureau President, Todd Snider, joined agricultural leaders at a roundtable hosted by Congressman Vince Fong and Congressman Adrian Smith to discuss trade, supply chain challenges, and keeping California agriculture competitive in global markets.

KCFB is proud to participate in these important discussions on behalf of our members as we continue advocating for Kern County agriculture and the hardworking people behind it.

✨Director Spotlight: Lindsey Mebane✨

As a fifth-generation California cattle rancher, Lindsey's roots in agriculture started early and ultimately led her to pursue a career in the industry. Today, she works as a Supply Planning Analyst for Grimmway Produce Group, where she helps manage the planning and logistics behind getting food to grocery stores efficiently.

Lindsey shared that one of the things she enjoys most about agriculture is being part of an industry that plays such an essential role in everyday life. While it’s not for the faint of heart, she believes that if you’re willing to put in the effort and stay committed, it can be incredibly rewarding.

Lindsey was inspired to become a KCFB director as a way to give back, support the agricultural community, and help keep the industry strong for future generations.

We are lucky to have Lindsey serving on the KCFB Board! Read our latest blog post to learn more about her story and passion for agriculture. 🤠

The Kern County Board of Supervisors has officially declared a local state of emergency due to the confirmed presence and growing spread of invasive golden mussels in regional water systems.

These invasive species can clog pipes, impact water delivery, and create costly infrastructure challenges for the systems that support our farms, communities, and economy.

Congressman Vince Fong just secured $5 million in federal funding to support prevention, monitoring, and rapid response efforts across the Central Valley.

Water reliability impacts all of us. If you see this golden mussel in your water systems please take photos and report right away to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
