What began as a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Rolly Rhodes, has experienced substantial growth and a major transformation over its history to the benefit of its clientele. The following is a history of how the agency has transformed over the years. Rolly Rhodes, the President of the corporation, established the agency in 1984 under the name of Rolly Rhodes Insurance Agency representing

three main line insurance carriers. Now twenty eight years later, the company represents over 70 carriers providing its clients all the necessary resources to protect their insurable interests in an ever changing insurance climate. While serving as an elected board member of his local insurance association, Rolly met John Fallgatter who at the time was the acting president of their association. With a common philosophy and code of ethics, they joined efforts and established Fallgatter Rhodes Insurance Services in 1993. They enhanced their competitive position the following year when they joined the membership of United Valley Insurance Services with 80 other California agencies. Collectively, the membership writes nearly $6,000,000 of premium volume. The strength of this membership provides their clients exceptional insurance products, exclusive programs, efficient services and competitive pricing. Gregory Hash joined Fallgatter Rhodes in 1999 and became a principal owner in 2006. His expertise in worker’s compensation, construction, manufacturing and farming accounts has been a valuable asset to the agency. In July of 2008 Greg Sceales joined the team bringing the history of Sceales and Associates the dates back to 1975. Though they went away to college, they returned to the community they loved to raise their families and to build their careers. Another common value we have at Fallgatter Rhodes is a desire to give back to the community, and as a result, our principals and many of our staff are involved with a number of organizations in Bakersfield that help those who are less fortunate.
