Strata Credit Union Your accounts with Strata Credit Union are federally insured through the National Credit Union Admin

On February 24, 1949, Kern Employee's Federal Credit Union was officially established to serve the employees who worked for the County of Kern. At that time, there were approximately 60 members and $1,500 in assets. In 1980, we changed our name to Kern Federal Credit Union in order to extend our membership to anyone who works, lives, or worships in Kern County. Today we have approximately 24,000 members with more than $200 million in assets.

In case you missed it:

A special thank you to everyone who came out to our Member Appreciation Day in Wasco. After 75 million years without a name, and hundreds of submissions online, in branch, and social media, the name of the Strata Raptor is …… Buck!

Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day... but our prehistoric pal is still sitting solo. 💔

For 75 million years, our Strata Raptor has roamed the earth without a name. He’s survived extinction, ice ages, and countless selfies - but he still hasn’t found his identity.

Will you be his Valentine and give him a name?
