Effective November 18, 2023, borrowers eligible for conventional loans on 2-4 unit properties will have the option to make a minimum down payment of 5%, marking a significant positive change in the lending landscape. Previously, these borrowers were required to make a down payment of 15% for 2-unit properties and 25% for 3-4 unit properties.
