Azle FCCLA Azle High School's FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)
chapter.

FCCLA is the only career and technical student-led organization with the "family" as
its central focus. It is open to young men and women who have taken or are
currently enrolled in a family and consumer sciences (FCS) class. FCS instructors
serve in an "advisory" position only as students gain leadership experience.

General information

FCCLA has nine national programs that focus on or address vital issues affecting our nation today, including the recent financial downturn, school violence, childhood obesity, and the shortage of skilled workers. Nationwide - FCCLA has a membership of 220,000 students and 53 state associations that include the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. The membership also includes an extensive national network of former FCCLA members still involved in the organization. Founded in 1945 as the Future Homemakers of America with a name change in 1977 to FHA/HERO and again in 1999 as FCCLA of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
