Bond yields recently climbed to their highest levels in decades as investors weighed sticky inflation, booming AI investment and robust economic growth. The Fed raised interest rates for the first time in three years, as widely expected. While the announcement prompted an initial market reaction, resilient economic growth, strong corporate earnings and continued consumer spending could help support equities, even if interest rates move somewhat higher. Meanwhile, higher short-term bond yields may create new opportunities for investors seeking income.

Market headlines got you worried? Staying focused on what you can control can help you feel more at ease. And one of the ways to do that is by diversifying your investment portfolio.

Diversification can't guarantee profits or prevent losses, but it can help manage risk and smooth out some of the ups and downs that can come with investing. However, diversification isn't one-size-fits-all. The right approach depends on your goals, timeline and comfort with risk.

If you'd like to talk about your portfolio or have questions about navigating today's market environment, I'm here to help.

Many people assume financial confidence comes with age. In my experience, it's not quite that simple.

New research from Edward Jones and Gallup shows that people across generations share concerns about their financial future. Younger adults are often working to build wealth, while older adults are focused on making their savings last. But both are looking for greater peace of mind about what's ahead.

That's one reason I enjoy helping clients create personalized strategies that align with their goals and priorities, both today and as their needs evolve over time.

Older adults are much more confident than younger adults in managing their current finances. Confidence in managing future finances, however, differs less by age.
