Yes, I met Jake. And yes, I am absolutely still thinking about it. 😂

But in all seriousness, this trip to Las Vegas for the State Farm National Agency Convention was something else entirely.

Thousands of agents from across the country gathered in one place to hear firsthand where State Farm is heading. System innovations, agency growth strategies, and the future of how we show up for our customers.

The conversations were real, the energy was contagious, and I came home with a full notebook and a renewed sense of purpose for what we are building right here in Highlands County.

Getting to be in a room with that many people who chose this same path, who care about their communities the way I care about ours, that does something to you.

Avon Park, I am back and I am fired up. 🤍

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it's a reminder of the courage, dedication, and love for this country that so many carried with them.

As we continue highlighting a few local businesses this month, it felt right to share Dr. Andrea Livingston and the team at Central Florida Hearing.

As a Doctor of Audiology, Dr. Livingston specializes in hearing, tinnitus, and equilibrium testing and they are the only audiology practice in Highlands County offering equilibrium testing, which is a huge part of understanding things like balance, dizziness, and overall hearing health.

They offer evaluations, support, and solutions tailored to what you actually need, whether it’s something new or something you’ve been navigating for a while.

Avon Park, this one is for you. 🙌

If you haven't been to Sophie's Cafe yet, what are you waiting for?! This spot on Main Street is everything. Cuban food, homemade pastries, the coziest little café atmosphere… and honestly the kind of place that makes you proud to live in this community. 🤍

Sophie's has been a Highlands County staple out of Sebring for years, and now they're right here in downtown Avon Park, and it did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and go check it out. You can thank me later.

Shoutout to the team over there for bringing something so special to our little corner of Florida. 👏

Look, I get it. Nobody wants to overpay for anything. But when it comes to your policy, the number on your bill isn’t the whole story.
