If you need health insurance, tomorrow is not the day but TODAY is. I have been updating my progress back to Ironman full distance for few months now. Ironman Nice France was Sunday. This is the race where Ironman meets the Tour de France, and this year with race temperature around 109 F. The morning started on the beach without the traditional National Anthem but the voice of Ironman Nice was singing "We will Rock you" while 3,000 of us were standing on the beach before the 2.4 miles swim start. Last time I heard that song of Queen live it was Travis Yoder singing it in front an impressive crowd. I finished my 6th Ironman and it was brutal. The following day I decided to go back to the Gorges du Loup and enjoy my time by the waterfall, which I did. When I walked back to my car, I felt back and went rolling downhill. 3 kids were swimming by and called the fire department. It took them one hour to find a way to carry me back to the ambulance. From there they took me to Grasse E.R: several scratches, few bumps on my skull, broken collarbone and scapula. I left the emergency room with a clavicle ring and 21 days of immobilization until follow-up appointment in Miami. We do take risk in Triathlon, but it was just a walk by the water. The firefighters told me I was really lucky to be alive based on the condition of the trail. Stop driving and start walking. The first step to healthy living. You can walk anywhere from Brickell to Design District combined with free public transportation. Didn't use my car since Friday afternoon and it feels good.😀😀😀

Always amazed how far you can go in one day. Left Miami early, landed in Vegas, spent some time at a friend's house then drove across Nevada, a portion of Arizona to end up in St George Utah, What a scenic road. Ironman 70.3 Utah is taking place in St George. Will scout it tomorrow.

HEALTH & WELLNESS - I met a couple Friday in North Miami who found me on Facebook. I asked them why me and they mentioned my Ironman racing posts. They are not into sport but want to start a journey towards a healthy lifestyle. Further in our conversation, weight and nutrition came up. Obviously I am bigger than the picture from Ironman Louisville 2013. They asked me to help them with their health insurance but also to get in better shape. I told them that we were in the same boat and I am going back to Ironman full distance in a couple of months and I my goal is race weight. AS we have the same objective they asked me to share my training daily including weight loss. They are going to start logging their workouts in www.trainingpeaks.com and I will share mine starting today with my first post back to Ironman and weight race goal.
