Shamyra Jeremiah is the Founder and Owner of Austin's Hill Country Galleria Area Goosehead Insurance Franchise. She is a mother, an entrepreneur, a minister, a naturalist, an artist at heart, and an undercover science geek. She is also a domestic abuse survivor, thriver, and advocate. Shamyra gets her greatest fulfillment by serving others both personally and professionally. She is originally from
the northestern region, but has truly embraced Texas as her home, as she has resided in nearly every major city/region in Texas since the 80's. She has spent the majority of her life living in the Houston suburb of Sugarland. She persevered as she was able to earn a degree, with honors, and working 4 (yes 4!) part time jobs while attending university and supporting herself. This was just the beginning of the demonstrations that she takes pride in, in "Making the Impossible Possible", as is her personal achievement slogan. After college, she enjoyed a successful 10 year career in the oil and gas industry, where she discovered her strengths in leadership, innovation, and creativity; and prior to transitioning to a path of entrepreneurship, in the insurance and financial services industry. She considers the example for her daughters, of strength, dedication, resilience, spirituality, good character, and success as her primary motivation in life. For Shamyra, her passion for insurance has grown from personal experiences, where she has learned first hand of its vital importance, as well as the importance of appropriate preparation and planning for families. She also considers the right insurance products as a vitally important component of a good financial portfolio, and a great tool for taking advantage of a variety of its financial benefits. She believes that having good financial "sense" is one of the primary skills for empowerment in today's culture.
