Interest rates continue to hold lows this month with more stability in pricing. The big changes this month are Jumbo products nearly disappearing from the market and many bond/ Down Payment Assistance programs being cut back or having higher standards placed on them. This is a bit reminiscent of the market circa the housing crash.

Covid-19 aka the "Rona" has caused new guidelines to roll out and impacted the home buying process. Lenders are having to verify income just prior to closing with pay stubs and helping clients restructure loans due to income and employment changes.

These are wild times if you have not see things like this before. If you have lived this once or twice you know every day is a new day and communication with clients and your team is very important.

Refinance volume shot up when the market dropped. The people who benefited the most are those who had significant credit score increases from when they purchased their homes and those who have had an increase in equity to 20% or more.

For 5 years and 11 months, I have called Guild / Ameripro my home. It has been a wonderful place to work and the people I work with have been fantastic. They have all helped me progress my career as a loan officer and a manager beyond my expectations. However, as of Friday, I will be moving on. I truly appreciate the help and patience of so many people that have made this possible. I have been afforded a position to grow my career further in a management role and I have to take it. Change is always hard and when you are leaving something or someplace you love it makes it even harder.

Thank you to everyone at Guild who has been there for me along the way. You all have made coming to work every day something I looked forward to.
