Tomorrow, (April 2nd), Texas will test its public warning systems statewide.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is conducting a coordinated drill of local alerting systems across the state, including sirens, emergency alerts, and other community warning tools.

If you hear alerts tomorrow, no action is required. This is a planned test.

What you CAN do: use it as a prompt to check your own preparedness.

✅ Know your shelter locations at home and work
✅ Confirm your household has a severe weather plan
✅ Make sure your phone is set to receive Wireless Emergency Alerts

Spring storm season is here. The drill is a good reminder that the time to prepare is before the skies change.

This award is based on what our team actually said in an anonymous employee survey. And honestly, that's the only kind of recognition that means anything.

The feedback highlighted things like people feeling like their work matters.

We're proud of that, but we also know it's not something you achieve once and check a box. It's ongoing.

For the last couple of weeks, our HR team has hit the road, spatulas in hand, to visit each of our offices for Flapjacks for Fall: Pancakes & Appreciation.

From Austin to Georgetown and beyond, they served up stacks of pancakes and a reminder of what makes Watkins Insurance Group special: our people.

It’s easy to stay connected when we’re in the same building. It takes a little more intention when we’re spread across multiple offices. Events like this bring us back to the table to share stories, laughs, and a sense of belonging that stretches far beyond city limits.
