The VCA, despite certain terminology used, is mostly democratic. Every Vampire in

this city has a voice and a time and place for that voice to be heard. We have a Council that will deliberate in order to ensure the will of our people and keep our relationships strong. Our bonds are deep, our trust is always earned, and our motivations are always clear. We promote being open, being free, sharing community, understanding, family and the support of our home. Austin as a whole is our priority, we are not introverted and we wish to see good things happen for everyone in this city. The VCA works as a whole out in the open to do good for the community with such acts as charity and volunteer work. The Vampire Court is a place for all of Austin's Vampires.
2. The Vampire Court is to protect all of Austin's Vampires.
3. The Vampire Court will govern the Vampire law for all of Austin's Vampires.
4. The Vampire Court is to be both fair and firm.
5. The Vampire Court is not to be disrupted with mundane affairs.
6. The Vampire Court is to be treated with respect.
7. The Vampire Court's Council is charged with maintaining order.
8. The Vampire Court's Council members are to be show the proper respect of their offices.
9. The Vampire Court is to be democratic.
10.The Vampire Court shall never die. It shall ever be the Vampire's of Austin that decide their own fate.
2. There shall be no rivalry with any person or group based on race, religion, bloodline or matters of sex.
3. Feeding without consent, unless feeding from ambient energy, is strictly prohibited.
4. No Vampire is to use any personal ability, physical or metaphysical to attack another member of the court.
5. All Vampires within the court are expected to follow human law without exception.
6. No Vampire is to share information of another's Vampiric nature to a mundane without consent. That which has been made open knowledge is not restricted.
7. Vampire progeny must be approved through the Vampire Council if the childe has not awakened themselves. Turning is forbidden until approval is gained.
8. Any assault against any council member will be treated as an act of treason until the Court convenes to pass judgment.
9. The Vampire Council will adjudicate all issues presented unless a vote is called for.
10.The Vampire Council must always rule objectively. If one can not they may be asked to step down for the issue in question.
11.The Chain of command is always to be upheld and respected.
12.Those found guilty of treason are to be excommunicated from the court.
13.In a vote a majority Vampire ruling will always decide.
14.Non-Vampires are welcomed, but they must be sponsored by a Vampire. Vampires must takes full responsibility for those they sponsor.
15.Non-Vampire votes will be counted as usual unless otherwise protested for interfering with the will of the Vampire majority.
16.Non-Vampires are to be treated as guests and shown respect.
17.Non-Vampires are to show proper respect as guests.
18.Any court member may call for a vote at any time.
19.Votes must grounded for a month until they can be voted on again.
20.All Vampires within the territories of Austin are subject to this court's laws and rulings.
21.All Vampires within the Austin territories are expected to make formal introductions to the court through contact with a council member.
22.All Austin Vampires traveling to another territory are expected to make proper introductions to those who rule in that territory with the exception of free states.
23.All Austin Vampires are expected to abide the laws of any territory they visit unless that law places someone in harms way.
24.Enemies of the court are not to be received. Those proven traitors, those whom have been excommunicated, or those that wish us harm shall be cast out. We shall not acknowledge them in any way, they will become as ghosts without voices.

I am pleased to announce that with the contributions of this organization and it’s supporters we were able to put together 21 kits for the shelterless, along with a sleeping bag, tarp, and a few blankets.

The wish list for this is now closed.

As this is the last official act of the Vampire Court of Austin, I am happy to be ending on a positive note.

Good evening everyone,

At last month’s meeting, we held a discussion that is important to share with all of you.

Over the last couple of months, two of the three council members were put into a position of needing to move and living in Austin was no longer a viable financial option given the timeframe allowed. Due to the structure of the VCA, it wouldn’t be right to maintain leadership while living so far outside of the city. That left one council member in position and no one else with the capacity and desire to fulfill the vacant role(s). The court was not designed for only one person acting as leadership, and the weight of these roles requires a significant amount of checks and balances to ensure we are always placing the needs of the court and community first.

As a result, and with heavy gravity, we held a meeting to discuss our future direction, and unanimously voted to let that weight go and reform our concept of “court.” Removing the formal structure of a vampire body allows us to come together as a fully equal community for vampires and otherkin. We have always been a family to each other with open arms to those seeking family and growth, that has not changed. Each of us are here for the community regardless of formal ties, and by removing these formalities, it removes much of the stigma surrounding hierarchy by placing the power directly with the community we wish to benefit.

As of this moment, the “Vampire Court of Austin” has formally dissolved. The community itself however will remain, bringing with it the understanding that we will not abandon those who need us, but have our focus more geared to working more locally to help anyone who might need us. We will be regearing our pages and groups toward this effort, as well as archiving all of our existing pages, to ensure both the online and in-person interactions are not suffering from this change. We have been proud to serve this community for the last nine years, and hope that this step will help bring us back to our roots and uplift those who truly wish for the betterment of all.

Hey folks,

We are asking you to go to this link and sign this and share it. This is asking Congress to help stop the Line 3 tar sands pipeline that is both a direct threat to our water and environment and is a direct violation of multiple treaties with the Anishinaabe people.

Water Protectors are being violently arrested, just as they were at Standing Rock.

We need to, all of us, come together and tell our government that we stand behind the Water Protectors.

Due to a couple of recent miscommunications, I wanted to take a moment to clarify the status of leadership within the Vampire Court of Austin.

Shortly after the announcement of Leila Ayalantara and myself taking over as the King and Queen of the VCA, we within our walls made a formal change to the structure. This change came for many reasons, namely to break a stigma of a power dynamic between ourselves and our court. We are and have always been servants of our court, and we have made this change in order to better connect with our own community and provide an understanding that we are no better or important than those that make up our number.

We have, as of this time, officially renounced the King and Queen statuses from our Titles within the VCA, and in consequence have created a primary leadership body composed of Tempest ÓhUiginn OMallie, Leila Ayalantara and myself as representatives of our court as a whole. Any of us can be reached in regards to an issue or question, and it is my wish that you treat us all as equals in the realm of leadership.

This does not and should not reflect on any court that wishes to continue using a named status within their leadership, we have for many years operated in this fashion and it was only decided as a personal change to better suit those within our immediate community.

We appreciate all that you have done in support of us over the years, and we wish to continue that same support of you.

Hello beautiful people!

We have been fairly quiet over the last year, but it is time to get the ball rolling on this one.

We have historically been an organization with a passion for not only helping those within the vampire community, but in the greater communities in which we live.

Austin is experiencing a surge in unsheltered citizens in the middle of this pandemic. We would like to start an outreach program supplying sleeping bags, blankets, and general supplies. 

This is something that we would like to see as a continuous outreach, but we preliminarily have enough in the list to put together about 50 care kits consisting of sleeping bags and backpacks filled with supplies. 

Please donate if you can and please share this post. The more participation we have, the more we can help the people who need it right now.
