Check out our recent Google Review we received! Very few things stop us in our tracks, but this is of them. It’s a direct reminder of why we do what we do. And why Rave Benefits was created.

A family came to us after being told they owed over $14,000 by a hospital. The bill dated back to January of last year and had already gone to collections. It was even preventing them from closing on their home. We became the benefits consultant for their organization in October, and during open enrollment we shared that medical bills often contain errors and, in many cases, can be negotiated. After that meeting, this couple came to us and asked if we would take a look at what they were facing because they were so worried about the bills they had received.

Something did not add up.

Our team took a deeper look and discovered the claim was being billed incorrectly. We helped guide the communication and worked through the details to ensure everything aligned with what their BCBS EOB showed as the correct amount.

The final balance came to $775.87.

From over $14,000 in collections to a resolution that was accurate and not allowing a large hospital system to take advantage of the member.

Reading their message brought tears to our eyes. Not because of the numbers, but because of the impact it had on their family. Helping people navigate situations like this is at the heart of what we do. We are grateful for the trust our clients place in us and honored to advocate for them every single day.

Woohoo! Big News!

We’re incredibly honored and excited to celebrate a major win alongside our client, Tri-State Forest Products, Inc.

Tri-State was awarded the Berkley Accident and Health Risk Achievement of the Year (RAY) Award at the Berkley Symposium, a recognition given to employers who demonstrate exceptional innovation and results in managing health plan risk and performance.

The RAY Award isn’t just about cost savings, it highlights organizations that are leading the way in transforming their health plans through smarter strategy, better data, and a commitment to long-term sustainability. In a space where most employers accept rising costs as the norm, this award recognizes those who challenge that status quo and deliver measurable outcomes.

This achievement reflects what’s possible with the right approach. Together with Integrity Benefit Partners, we implemented a forward-thinking self-funded strategy that delivered:
• Expanded access to care
• Lower overall costs
• Improved population health
• Zero renewal increase

We’re proud to be part of this journey and grateful for the partnership and trust it takes to achieve results like this.

This is what it looks like to do benefits differently.

Last week we had the opportunity to attend the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) OKC Chapter’s annual symposium!

One of the biggest takeaways was the growing role of AI across the healthcare landscape; how it’s being used today and where it’s headed in the future.

When used for the RIGHT reasons, AI has the potential to truly improve outcomes. It can help detect cancer and other conditions earlier through advanced image analysis, identify trends in data that may not be obvious to clinicians, and do it all with incredible speed and accuracy.

Of course, like any powerful tool, AI must be used responsibly. That’s where trusted medical professionals, strong benefit partners, and our team play a critical role in ensuring the human touch is never lost.

Healthcare is constantly evolving! Our goal is to help our clients navigate their options with confidence and provide meaningful, high-quality benefits that truly support their employees and their organization.

The “PPO discount” isn’t always what it seems.

Many employers are unknowingly paying 300%+ of Medicare rates under traditional PPO models—despite being told they’re receiving strong discounts. Meanwhile, forward-thinking plan designs are achieving 140–180% of Medicare, delivering greater transparency, control, and meaningful savings.

It’s time to rethink what “value” really looks like in your health plan.

At Rave Benefits, we help organizations:
✔ Evaluate their current benefits strategy with clarity
✔ Break free from inflated pricing models
✔ Incorporate cash pay options for high-value, upfront pricing
✔ Design smarter, more sustainable health plans
✔ Create an avenue for more affordable access to care for employees and their families

You don’t have to do this alone—and you shouldn’t.

If you’re ready to take an innovative approach to your health plan and actually understand where your dollars are going, let’s connect.

We had a great day at the Oklahoma State Capitol with the NABIP Oklahoma City Chapter a few weeks ago advocating for policies that impact employers, employees, and the future of healthcare in our state.

While there it was an honor to hear from Insurance Commissioner Glen Mulready and engage in conversations around legislation that can expand access to care while helping reduce overall healthcare costs. These discussions are critical for the employers and employees we serve every day.

At Rave Benefits, we are passionate about being part of the conversation and working with legislators to support policies that create more transparency, better access to care, and more sustainable healthcare solutions.

Lacey Beloncik and Katelynn Smith-Thain were proud to attend and connect with many other professionals who are committed to advocating for meaningful change in Oklahoma. Thank you NABIP for hosting this great event!

We really enjoyed the opportunity to speak at the Tulsa Employee Benefits Group luncheon on Direct Provider Contracts.

We had an honest conversation about a tough reality: many PPO “discounts” are applied to prices inflated far above Medicare — so the savings often aren’t what they seem.

The good news? Employers have better options — Direct Primary Care, Medicare-anchored pricing, and direct provider contracts — that can reduce costs while improving the employee experience.

It’s encouraging to see employers open to rethinking how they buy healthcare.

If you’d like to continue the conversation, we’d love to connect.

✨ Cut Claims, Not Care – Executive Luncheon Recap ✨

Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting an incredible group of OKC business leaders for an engaging discussion on innovative healthcare strategies that lower costs without sacrificing quality of care.

Over lunch, we explored:

✅ The benefits of Direct Primary Care
✅ How Group Medical Captives create stability and control
✅ Real-world examples of APTA Cash savings
✅ Strategies to reduce claims while improving employee health outcomes

A big thank you to our partners — Apta Health, Primary Health Partners, and Zenith Risk Strategies LLC for collaborating to make this event a success.

Most importantly, thank you to all the executives and HR leaders who joined us. The conversation was lively, solutions-focused, and a reminder that better healthcare plans do exist when we’re willing to challenge the status quo.
