Hector Elizondo, Jr., CFP - Financial Advisor

Hector Elizondo, Jr., CFP - Financial Advisor My role at Legado Financial Group primarily involves meeting with and advising clients, a responsibility I take on with great passion and dedication.

I am proud to serve as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional at Legado Financial Group, with a career spanning over 25 years in the financial services industry. My journey began with a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, after which I gained my initial industry experience at Ford Motor Credit. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives, underst

anding their behaviors and attitudes about money, and guiding them on a path to financial stability. I find great joy in demystifying financial planning for my clients, demonstrating that it doesn't have to be intimidating but can be an empowering and enlightening process. One of my areas of focus is Behavioral Finance, particularly working with first-generation wealth. I believe that the greatest value I provide for my clients lies in my ability to listen empathetically, stay abreast of industry trends and tools, and foster long-lasting relationships. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, I now call Austin home. I live here with my wonderful wife, Amy, and our two sons, Trey and Drew. Outside of my professional life, my passions are my family, food, and travel. Most of my time is spent creating lifelong memories with my family, cooking together, and laughing heartily. We love exploring Austin's vibrant food scene and immersing ourselves in its rich musical and entertainment venues. Hector Elizondo, Jr. has been awarded the title of Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach issued by Columbia University’s Coaching Center of Excellence in partnership with Equitable Advisors, LLC. Legado Financial Group is not owned or operated by Equitable Advisors or Equitable Network.

✨ Motivational Monday ✨

This week, let’s remember that growth begins within. Every setback is not a stop sign—it’s a signal to reflect, adjust, and aim again.

Instead of focusing on what went wrong around you, take a moment to look inward. That’s where real progress happens. 💡

Refocus. Realign. Rise stronger. 💪

Let’s make this week count!

After years of saving and preparing, some retirees hesitate to spend.

That's understandable.

But retirement isn't only about preserving what you've built. It's about using it to support the life you want to live.

The first year isn't a test.

It's a transition.

And it's okay to take it one step at a time.

If you'd like to talk through what this season looks like for you, we're here.

Retirement gives you time.

A lot of it.

And while that sounds freeing, it can also feel overwhelming at first.

When you're working, much of your day is structured. In retirement, you decide what today looks like.

Some people find it helps to create a little rhythm:
▪️A weekly volunteer day
▪️Lunch with friends
▪️A standing class
▪️Mornings reserved for exercise or hobbies

Not to recreate work — just to have something to look forward to.

Freedom often feels better with a little shape.

✨ Motivational Monday ✨

Growth doesn’t just give us answers — it teaches us how to ask better questions. And that’s where progress really begins.

This week, stay curious.
Lean into learning.
Let questions guide you forward.

One adjustment many retirees don't expect?

Spending can feel emotionally different.

For decades, income came in the form of a paycheck, and saving was the goal. In retirement, you're drawing from what you built.

Even if the numbers work, the shift can take time.

Separating essential expenses from flexible choices often helps. Once core needs are covered, the rest becomes intentional — not stressful.

Confidence tends to grow as you settle into your new routine.
