Ain’t no party like a Collide Capital launch party 🚀 🎉

This week we tapped into the incredible .tech conference energy that descended upon Austin to celebrate with our day one supporters, fellow GPS, founders, family and friends.

DJ had the music bopping, the champagne was flowing and the joy was undeniable 🥂🙌🏾 We are so excited to continue this journey with our community.

When we set off to build Collide, it was with the humble intentions to do more and be more for the incredibly talented communities we were surrounded by. We asked the critical questions of ourselves and founders within the ecosystem and unlocked a resounding response. More than anything our founders needed capital.

So we got to work; putting in years of passionate fundraising and refining our process to learn how to add value to our founders’ journeys. We’ve built a firm that:

Entering into the world of VC is a challenge in itself and can be even more difficult for marginalized groups. As two Black folks under 35, we are proud to announce that Collide Capital has closed a Fund I, oversubscribed at $66M. 🙏🏾

We are grateful to our diverse LP base and advisors who stand in solidarity with creating on-ramps for seed & pre-seed companies emerging from the most compelling founder ecosystems across academia, industry, venture, and culture.

The Black-led fund is putting an emphasis on storytelling and community, fueled by the pedigrees of its founders, who previously helped launch Blavity and BLCK VC.
