Look, we’re all just trying to do our best out here.

But the reason I show up here is because in my role at FrankCrum, I see firsthand how HR, payroll, and compliance become some of the most underestimated challenges in running a business.

Not the flashiest topics, I know. Nobody’s going viral over workers’ comp classifications.

But these are the things that quietly derail good businesses. Not because owners aren’t smart, but because nobody warned them how fast “I’ll just handle it myself” turns into a full-time job inside their full-time job.

The businesses that scale well aren’t the ones that do everything better. They’re the ones that know what not to carry.

So yeah, it’s just LinkedIn. But if you’re dealing with any of this, reach out. Let’s fix it.

Smart Strategies to Slash Your Variable Expenses

Are high variable costs eroding your profits? There are several strategies you can implement to reduce variable costs. Here are just a few:

•Bulk vs Carrying Costs: Find the sweet spot between discounts and the carrying costs of inventory.

•Sourcing Smarter: Identify cheaper material sources without sacrificing reliability or quality.

•Subcontracting & Outsourcing: Understand when external help can reduce overheads and add flexibility.

•Achieving Optimal Staffing: Analyze workflow and demand to reach staffing levels that maximize productivity and efficiency.

Ready to transform your cost structure? Message me to find out how!

Michael is a great resource for your small to mid-sized company!

You ever start the day thinking you’re finally going to focus on growing the business… and then somehow end up buried in payroll, HR stuff, and compliance?

I see this all the time. Most business owners I talk to are spending way more time on admin than actually moving the business forward.

That’s really where we come in. At FrankCrum, we take those constant “I’ll get to it later” tasks off your plate so you can stay focused on what actually matters.

If that sounds familiar, happy to connect.

Most business owners don’t realize how much they’re overpaying for workers’ comp. I just worked with a mid-sized company here in Austin that was about to get hit with another increase, even though nothing had really gone wrong on their end.

We took a step back, went through everything, and cleaned up how their policy was set up. End result was just over 30% savings going into renewal. Same business, just a better way of doing it.

If your workers’ comp keeps going up every year and you’re not really sure why, it’s probably worth a second look. Feel free to message me, I’m happy to take a look and give you a straight answer either way.
