As I progress in my career at Mutual of Omaha, I am seeing parallels within my fitness journey…
Most people don’t hire a personal trainer because they lack information.
Workouts are everywhere. Nutrition plans are everywhere. You can even ask ChatGPT for a full program.
Yet people still invest in a trainer. Why?
👉 Accountability
👉 Consistency
👉 Motivation when it gets tough
Financial wellness works the exact same way.
There is no shortage of financial information today. You can Google budgeting tips, research investments, or calculate retirement goals in minutes. But information alone doesn’t create results.
Just like fitness:
✅ It takes discipline to stick to a plan
✅ It requires a clear vision of where you want to be
✅ It demands intentional action over time
You don’t get in shape by knowing what to do—you get there by consistently doing it.
The same is true financially.
The people who reach their goals aren’t the ones with the most knowledge…
They’re the ones who stay committed to the process, especially when it’s not easy.
Having someone in your corner—whether it’s a trainer or a financial representative—can make all the difference.
At the end of the day, it’s not about access to information.
It’s about ex*****on, accountability, and staying disciplined long enough to see the results.
