What’s a Public Adjuster, and why should you care?
When your home or ranch gets hit by hail, wind, water, or fire, the insurance company sends their adjuster. Their job is to protect the carrier.
A Public Adjuster (PA) is the licensed professional who works only for you. We document the loss, value repairs correctly, and negotiate your claim so you’re paid everything your policy promises, no guessing, no lowball “repairs,” no missed code items.
What we actually do for you?
Inspect & document: Full roof/structure walkthrough, attic checks, moisture mapping, photos, measurements, and a line-item scope of damage.
Policy review: We translate the fine print—coverage, exclusions, code-upgrade endorsements, depreciation, ALE/LOU, deductibles.
Estimate properly: We build real-world repair estimates (Xactimate & trade pricing) that reflect local labor, materials, and building code.
Negotiate: We handle the back-and-forth with the carrier, field adjusters, and desk examiners—including supplements and re-inspections.
Close & collect: We push past delays, manage paperwork, and keep your claim moving to final payment.
When to call us
Before you file (smartest time)—we’ll confirm it’s claim-worthy and set it up right.
After a partial denial or low offer.
If your claim is stuck (no updates, circular requests, or “we need more photos”).
When there’s hidden or code-required work (underlayment, flashing, ventilation, decking, electrical/plumbing, interior).
If you don’t have time to manage a claim like a second job.
What it costs
No upfront fee. Our fee is a small percentage of the settlement and is spelled out in writing. We only get paid when you get paid.
In Texas, PA fees are regulated and fully disclosed—we’ll show you exactly how it works for your situation.
Common myths (quick truth check)
“Using a PA makes my rates go up.” Premiums are driven by many factors. Filing a claim may affect pricing regardless of who helps you. Our role is making sure your covered loss is fully and correctly paid.
“My contractor can negotiate for me.” In Texas, contractors cannot legally negotiate your claim unless they’re also licensed as a PA. We’re licensed to represent you in that process.
“The adjuster already looked—nothing else to do.” Initial inspections often miss code items, manufacturer specs, and hidden damage. That’s where we earn our keep.
What we don’t do
We don’t work for the insurance company.
We don’t inflate claims or “pad” scopes—everything is documented and justifiable.
We don’t waive deductibles (illegal in TX).
We’re not your contractor; we’re your advocate to secure the right funding so quality contractors can do the job right.
Local, straight talk
We serve the Texas Hill Country. We know our roofs, our limestone, our codes, and what repairs actually cost here, not on a spreadsheet 1,000 miles away.
