Shala Shearer, Mortgage Loan Officer at First Centennial Mortgage in Austin, TX, has been working in mortgages for over 5 years. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, Shala worked in insurance for nine years and managed and owned an agency. Since joining the mortgage industry, Shala worked in different areas of the mortgage process, including top producing teams in Oregon, as well as Fort Worth.
These experiences allowed Shala to get a strong knowledge of the diverse product offerings and guidelines for different loan types. At First Centennial Mortgage, Shala offers FHA, conventional, VA, USDA, first-time homebuyer down payment assistance programs, renovation and jumbo loans. Shala focuses on how much her clients can afford out of pocket so she can determine a mortgage payment that fits within their overall budget. Her goal is to make the loan process as smooth and easy as possible. “I love helping my clients understand the whole process of getting a mortgage. My biggest reward is when the client tells me how easy the process was.”
Shala earned a full ride scholarship and played golf in college for the University of Wyoming. In her free time, she loves to golf and go to country music concerts with her husband. They live in a small, tight knit community just west of Fort Worth with their son and daughter. They enjoy exploring different parts of Texas as a family and attending State Champion football games and supporting local small-town businesses. For Texas Consumers Only:
