Here is what you need to know 1-3 months before you turn 65 -

Your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) is underway. This is the seven-month window when you can enroll in Medicare. It runs from three months before the month you turn 65, through your birthday month to three months after the month you turn 65. If your birthday is on the first of the month, your IEP begins four months before you turn 65 and ends 2 months after the month you turn 65.

What is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period?

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period – AEP for short – is a set time each year for changing your Medicare coverage choices if you choose to. AEP runs from October 15 to December 7. New coverage choices go into effect on January 1.

!!A new act was just passed that affects ALL individuals on Medicare in 2023!!

The Inflation Reduction Act includes new protections against high out-of-pocket costs for Medicare beneficiaries by adding a $35 out-of-pocket cap on insulin costs for Medicare beneficiaries starting in 2023. The Inflation Reduction Act eliminates Cost Sharing for Adult Vaccines Covered Under Part D and Improve Access to Adult Vaccines in Medicaid and CHIP
