Successful investors don’t rely on luck, they rely on financial habits that keep them flexible.
Two of the biggest? Cash on hand and strong credit.
Having cash in the bank gives you breathing room. Deals don’t always move fast, renovations take longer than expected, and holding costs add up. When you’re liquid, you’re not stressed by delays, you’re positioned for them.
The second is credit. Your credit score is your ability to borrow, and that directly impacts what deals you can take on, how quickly you can move, and what terms you qualify for.
Experience, deal flow, and strategy matter, but without cash and credit, even good opportunities get harder to execute.
At the end of the day, cash really is king because it gives you one thing every investor needs: options.
