Open enrollment runs from November 1 to January 15. During this window, you have the opportunity to sign up or make changes to your plan. Make sure to enroll by December 15, 2024, for coverage starting January 1, 2025.

With National Eye Health Week upon us, we wanted to share three tips to promote eye health:

🥬 Eat Healthily - Certain foods can promote eye health. For example, you can protect against eye diseases by incorporating non-meat protein sources such as eggs and nuts; green/leafy vegetables; tuna, salmon, and other fatty fish; and oranges and other citrus fruits into your diet.

🕶️ Wear Sunglasses (Even on Cloudy Days) - Opt for sunglasses that block out 99% to 100% of ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays.

🧬 Know Your Family History - A number of eye conditions have a genetic component, including glaucoma and macular degeneration. If you have older family members, talk with them about any eye conditions they or other members of your family have had.

When we read stories that make us smile, we like to share them with our network! 😊

It was feared extinct, but a species of golden mole not seen in over 80 years has been rediscovered! Researchers found the De Winton’s golden mole in the sand dunes of South Africa. This little creature, which lives exclusively in sand, was last spotted in 1937.

The dedicated team used environmental DNA and the help of a trained sniffer dog to identify this rare species. Their perseverance paid off, proving that even the smallest creatures can make a big comeback!
