May was one of those months that reminded me why I love the work I do and the communities I’m fortunate to be part of.
A few highlights:
👩🏻🏫📈Tahoma School District Career Day — I spent the morning with middle school students talking about my career in finance and the many paths that can lead to a fulfilling future. Their curiosity, confidence, and thoughtful questions gave me a lot of hope for the next generation.
⚾🏟️A Seattle sports memory I’ll never forget — I had a fun vantage point watching Randy Johnson prepare to walk onto the field for his jersey retirement ceremony. Witnessing such an iconic moment was truly special.
📚 🎤The Mel Robbins “Let Them” Tour — I left feeling energized, challenged, and inspired to focus on what I can control while letting go of what I can’t.
🎓🇻🇳A family milestone — My niece graduated from high school, and three generations of our family celebrated together wearing traditional Vietnamese Áo dài. It was a meaningful reminder of our heritage, family traditions, and the opportunities each generation creates for the next.
🩶♥️CougsFirst Westside Show — More than 70 WSU-owned/operated businesses gathered under one roof. Last year I participated as an exhibitor; this year I had the opportunity to simply explore, support, and celebrate fellow Cougs. The entrepreneurial spirit in our community continues to impress me.
As I look back, what stands out most isn’t any single event—it’s the people behind each experience.
June is already off to a great start, and I’m excited to see what the month brings.
