Even though it’s fall in the Pacific Northwest, we are still enjoying the cloudy days (at Sunny Beach Point ironically), enjoying Christmas lights all year long, and getting to eat in an actual train restaurant! Not to mention this is a great visit for seeing Mount Rainier in the majestic fall colors 🍁 🍃 🍂 and just FYI: Polar Express Train happens in the same place!

Here are some items to think about for some fall home maintenance. 1. Clean your gutters and remove leaves and debris before the heavy rain. 2. Check for leaks or damage around the home. 3. Trim trees, and branches and remove dead branches that could fall during storms or wind. 4. Drain outdoor hoses and disconnect them, insulate hose bibs to prevent freezing pipes. 5. Service the furnace and replace the filter. 6. Clean the chimney and fireplace before fireplace season. 7. Inspect weatherstripping throughout the house and seal gaps where needed. 8. Reverse ceiling fans, I never knew about this one, but rotate them clockwise to push warm air downward. 9. Prepare emergency supplies, such as flashlight, batteries, and basic food supplies. These are always good to have on hand. 10. Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and replace batteries if needed. What can you think of to add to the list? 🍂🍁
