Which Insurance company is the best?
Good question, a better question is which one does the most for you medically depending on your situation. As a broker I am not tied to just one carrier, I can do business with over 40 different carriers. It also depends on which carriers are available in your zip code. My job is to listen to your needs and what your medical situation is and find the plan that will benefit you the most that is within your budget. To make sure that the doctors you want are in-network so you can continue to see that doctor. Check your prescriptions to make sure they cover it at the cheapest prescription tier. How much is private health insurance? Quite affordable actually if your self employed or your employer doesn't offer health insurance you can get premium tax credits and sometimes cost sharing. Also if your employer plan is charging you 9.12% or more of your annual income for health insurance you can get the tax credits with a private plan! Carriers include but not limited to: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Molina, Ambetter, etc. If your self employed or your current employer doesn't offer health insurance you could get a plan for you and/or your family and they can start as low as $0 depending on what you qualify for.
