99% of people getting this wrong!

Im starting to realize, either Im not asking the questions clearly, or people aren't as educated as the should be financially.

Question is... If you buy a stock for $10 and sell for $20 then buy a stock for $30 and sell for $40, How much money did you make?

if your answer doesnt match mine... I'm going to assume I might need to ask differently.. or you may need help investing!

Two main ways to make money: Work for it or make it work for you. The simplest way to get it to work for you is....interest! "He who understands it earns it... he who doesn't... pays it!" Beginner step is opening a high yield checking account at 4%. More advanced would be higher growth savings at 8%. If you have time to let your money sit, you need a long term retirement type account earning 12-14%. None of these require you to understand investing or "manage" your money. They don't involve risk. They are easy alternatives to a bank that only holds, rather than grows, your money.
