Last Friday, we held our 5th Annual 3rd Grade Ag Day at the Cass County Fairgrounds with 160 students present from Atlantic Community School District, CAM CSD, and Griswold Elementary Schools. The students spent the day visiting with area businesses and organizations, learning about their roles in agriculture.

We would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for participating in the day:
Lindeman Tractor
Cass County Extension
Cass County Cattlemen
Cass County Conservation
Cass County Farm Bureau
NRCS
Landus Cooperative
Milk Unlimited Dairy
Farm Credit Services
Elite Octane
Agriland FS
Iowa Corn
CAM FFA
Griswold FFA
Atlantic FFA

We would also like to thank our FFA Chapters for not only presenting stations, but for being groups leaders and leading the 3rd grade students to each of their stations throughout the day.

Lastly, we would like to give a shoutout to Cass County Cattlemen for providing and grilling the burgers for lunch, to Christy at Milk Unlimited for providing the milks for lunch, and to Cass County SWCD and Farm Credit Services for donating funds to help offset any other costs for the day.

Thank you to all the volunteers who showed up to help make this day possible. It was a fun filled day of agriculture, and we hope to see you back next year! 🌾

As the school year comes to an end, we want to thank all the teachers who have participated in Ag in the Classroom this year, and for all they do!
We believe that students should know where their food comes from, and AITC is a way for them to learn just that! Through fun activities, books, and videos, the students can learn from real farmers about their farms and what they do every day to raise the animals and crops for us to have food, fibers, and fuel.

Teachers, if you are interested in participating in AITC next year, contact the office at [email protected] to learn more.
