Life has taken me from the hardwood to the boardroom—and every step in between has shaped who I am today.
My journey didn’t start early or perfect. I came to the game late—as a rising ninth grader. By tenth grade, I had quit. But something in me said there was more… and the people around me believed it too. My mother and my closest friends saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself—and that belief helped carry me forward.
From there, the path took me to St. John’s… then to Duke. Along the way, I became a young father at 19—real responsibility, real perspective, real motivation. Soon after, I heard my name called on draft night and stepped into the NBA.
But life doesn’t move in straight lines. Injuries, transitions, and new chapters followed—coaching, real estate, and now leading in business. Every phase required me to evolve, stay disciplined, and keep pushing forward.
Basketball taught me discipline.
Adversity taught me resilience.
Fatherhood taught me purpose.
Business taught me strategy.
But above everything—I’m most proud of the life I’ve built at home. I love my family. My wife Tiffani, my sons Anthony and Roman, and my daughter Anisa—they are my why, my foundation, and my greatest motivation.
Today, I’m focused on creating opportunities—for families, for communities, and for the next generation coming behind me. Whether it’s through lending, leadership, or storytelling, everything I do is about building something that lasts.
Your journey won’t always go as planned. Mine didn’t.
But if you stay committed, stay disciplined, and keep evolving—you’ll still win.
