Our Tanzania safari was everything we had hoped for and more.
We watched giraffes grazing behind our tent at sunrise, spotted lions resting in the open fields just beyond our camp and saw the Milky Way stretch across the night sky from our room in Tarangire.
But one of the moments that stayed with me the most happened during our drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
We noticed countless half-built homes along the way, and our guide explained that with mortgage rates around 18%, many families build their homes one phase at a time — saving, building, and then saving again.
It was a powerful reminder that while the path to homeownership may look different around the world, the dream is remarkably similar: stability, security, and a place to build memories with the people we love.
