An impressive offer can still be the wrong fit. A larger number does not answer every question.

Write down the commitments a sale must fund and the responsibilities you are willing to keep. Then ask the deal team to compare the actual terms against both.

Which three decisions would make your financial picture clearer?

Business dependence, a transaction, a move, family responsibilities, or a new investment commitment may all deserve attention. Choose the priorities, then identify the facts, specialists, and next action for each.

Our work is helping privately held business owners connect those decisions to financial independence from the company.

Start a conversation with Bespoke and bring the three issues you most want to resolve. https://www.raymondjamesconnect.com/ak7EnA

Being part of the family, owning shares, working in the business, and running it are different roles.

Discuss what each role requires before responsibilities change. Who makes which decisions? How is readiness developed? What happens when family members want different things?

Your family and legal team can turn that discussion into clear expectations and documents.

Read the governance section of Preparing the Next Generation and choose one role to clarify. https://www.raymondjamesconnect.com/aoHDWd

Before writing a private-investment check, look beyond the initial amount.

Separate contractual funding obligations from possible future requests. Understand what the documents require and what happens when additional participation is optional.

Then compare the full exposure with family spending and other commitments. Your legal and financial teams should work from the same schedule.

Read the checklist in After the Exit and bring your outstanding commitments to the conversation.

A property purchase, a business investment, and a retirement plan can each look affordable separately.

The useful exercise is seeing them together. Put the amount, expected date, and funding source beside every major commitment. Identify money counted toward more than one goal.

Include plans that rely on future business distributions or a sale. Those deserve different treatment from capital already available.

Before committing to another opportunity, review the full year's intended uses of cash with your advisors.

For Act 60 planning, start beyond the investment's name.

What is it supposed to do for the family? What type of return is expected? What information does the tax team need before reaching a conclusion?

The Bespoke Act 60 Financial Architecture connects those questions through an Income Source & Character Matrix. Tax treatment still requires qualified review, and investment risks still matter.

Read the matrix and bring one unresolved question to your advisors. https://www.raymondjamesconnect.com/aQabYj

A headline sale price cannot tell your family what it can spend.

Start with the actual terms and ownership. Account for debt, adjustments, estimated taxes, and costs. Then separate cash at closing from retained equity and contingent payments.

Only then connect the proceeds to family spending, other assets, and future commitments.

Our Before the Offer whitepaper includes a simplified bridge for the conversation. Read the financial-readiness section with your advisor team. https://www.raymondjamesconnect.com/asZtha

The first Bespokee Awards are officially in the books. 🏆

They were part of one of our best team offsites yet in Atlanta, with everyone coming together from New York, Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico.

We worked on the business, played pickleball, shared a few meals, and borrowed a little inspiration from The Office.

Most of all, we got to spend time with the people who make Bespoke what it is.

Proud of this team and excited to keep getting better together.

Thinking about Puerto Rico? Begin with the business and the family together.

The first part of our Act 60 framework asks what you own, what you owe, what must remain liquid, what you want to accomplish, and who owns the next decision.

Business interests and family commitments belong beside investments. The resulting map gives your advisors a shared starting point, not an assumed tax outcome.

Read the Financial Map section of The Bespoke Act 60 Financial Architecture and choose one part of your picture to organize.

Could you step out of your role and still afford to keep the company?

The business needs a plan for who does your work. Your family needs a plan for any compensation that changes when you stop doing it.

Separate compensation, business distributions, and outside resources. Then consider the company's management costs and the terms governing distributions.

That is a more useful starting point than assuming ownership alone will support the household.

Take these two questions into your next planning meeting: Can the company run without me? Can my family's plan?
