Energea was proud to participate in this year’s Global Citizen NOW: Impact Sessions, a high-level convening that brought together world leaders, philanthropists, grassroots advocates, and private-sector innovators to accelerate progress on global challenges.

Our Co-Founder Mike Silvestrini spoke on the panel “Energizing Africa – The Role of the Private Sector,” alongside Roger Martella, Chief Corporate Officer at GE Vernova, Chebet Chikumbu, Managing Director of Growth Strategy and Stakeholder Management at Harith General Partners, and Jonathan Hoffman, CEO of Globeleq.

The conversation explored how private capital can scale renewable energy infrastructure across Africa and unlock transformative development.

We were also honored to meet Puyr Tembé, Secretary of Indigenous Peoples of the State of Pará, during the Protect the Amazon spotlight, and to hear a powerful keynote address by Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations. This year’s gathering emphasized the vital role of cross-sector collaboration and regional leadership in building a more just, sustainable future.
