Last Friday, I was at Six Flags with my wife and son, making memories and riding Goliath together.

After hearing about Monday’s tragedy, it’s hard to look at these pictures the same way. A place where we had just shared so much laughter became the setting for another family’s heartbreak.

Our hearts are with the family who lost someone they love, those who were injured, and everyone affected.

Feeling especially grateful for these moments with my family. Hug your people. ❤️ ❤️

🍂 Some people decorate for fall. Others remove half the house and call it “a small project.”

Renovations start with a Pinterest board and end with exposed wires, 47 decisions about flooring, and a contractor saying, “While we’re in here…”

My wife is traveling for work this week, which means I’m on lead-parent duty. And no, I’m not “babysitting.” 😂 I’m his dad.

I’m proud of the career Ashley has built, and I want Luke growing up seeing that Mom’s work matters just as much as Dad’s. Sometimes her job requires travel. Sometimes mine does. Whoever is home takes the wheel.

This week, that means I’ve got school, soccer, dinner, homework, bedtime and whatever else an 8-year-old decides to throw into the mix.

Working women shouldn’t have to feel guilty for traveling, building careers or going after opportunities. And dads shouldn’t get a trophy for stepping up at home.

It’s just teamwork.

She’s handling business in Newport, RI. I’m handling business at home. ❤️

Same team. Different assignment.

**SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT 🍪✨**

These cookies were way too fabulous not to share.

One of the guests at our neighbors’ going-away party brought these from . Our neighbors are moving from Dunwoody to Chicago, and she was given very little information to work with—but somehow turned it into the most perfect cookie set.

From the Georgia peaches to the Pizza capital, an espresso martini and the bean, every detail was so creative and beautifully done. And most importantly… they tasted every bit as good as they looked.

Even better, Hudson Mill Sweets is run by a local stay-at-home mom sharing some serious talent. I love finding and supporting small businesses like this in our community and a mom doing it all to boot!
