Tip of the month.
Do you know the difference between an ACA and a medically underwritten plan?
Marketplace (Obamacare/ACA) are your income-based plans: ACA-compliant plans typically have higher deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, as well as no minimal first-dollar benefits, Set coverages, and minimum exclusions. They are ideal if you qualify for a subsidy or regularly seek treatment.
Private Insurance (Medically Underwritten) is plans based on good health: They are plans that meet your specific needs; you are not paying for "one size fits all" insurance. They offer more first-dollar benefits and have better premiums. These plans are ideal if you're healthy, not seeking treatment, and looking to spend less money while still receiving health coverage that will take care of you!
