Friday Fun Fact - Happy Juneteenth!
Juneteenth (June 19, 1865) marks the day when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It stands as a powerful reminder that progress can be delayed, but it must always continue forward.
Juneteenth also serves as a meaningful moment to reflect on the importance of financial empowerment, access, and equity. True freedom includes not only legal rights, but also the opportunity to build wealth, create stability, and pass on financial knowledge to future generations. It’s a great time to recommit to:
* Expanding financial education
* Closing wealth gaps and
* Supporting long-term economic opportunity for all
Because financial freedom is a key part of lasting freedom.
