Position: Maritime Operations Manager

Job Title: Maritime Operations Manager

Job Description:
- Oversee planning and coordination of daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
- Lead and manage work teams and activities to achieve operational efficiency.
- Manage client, vendor, and service provider contracts & relationships, ensuring the company’s interests are always protected.
- Provide technical support for the recruitment and management of seafarers.
- Maintain strong relationships with unions and communities within operational areas to safeguard company operations.
- Oversee the implementation of the company’s QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) policies and procedures within the division.
- Ensure the safe and efficient ex*****on of all marine operations services.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on operational activities to management.
- Manage and monitor all planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs to ensure they are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Develop and conduct training programs for officers and crew.
- Conduct safety, environmental, and security drills onboard to assess effectiveness and compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant maritime certifications (e.g., STCW, ISM Code).
- Certificate of Competency (COC) as a Chief Mate or Master Mariner.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maritime operations or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to develop, improve, and implement safe and cost-effective vessel management processes.
- Proficient in the use of computer software relevant to maritime operations.
- Experience with maritime safety management systems (SMS).
