Today, our team wanted to share some key information about a life insurance policy issue we’ve seen over the years: insufficient coverage. Many people establish life insurance policies, then ignore them for years — even though their income has increased, and they’ve assumed greater financial responsibilities (such as getting married, having children, or taking on a mortgage).

Life insurance is designed to replace your income. If your paycheck supports your household, regardless of what that looks like, your coverage should reflect that responsibility. Swipe for key details on how to estimate your current life insurance needs and when it makes sense to review your policies.

If it’s been a while since you last reviewed your coverage, or if your income has changed significantly since we last spoke, our team would be happy to help you take a closer look and ensure everything still aligns with your current situation.

If you’re turning 65 soon and are unsure about what it means to enroll in Medicare, you are not alone. One of the most common questions we hear from those nearing retirement is around the timeline for signing up for Medicare.

So, we wanted to share a few important reminders to help you stay on track:

✅Know your enrollment window. Your initial enrollment window lasts for seven months — three months before your 65th birthday, your birthday month, and three months after your birthday. Enrolling early in this timeframe can help ensure your coverage begins right when you need it.

✅Understand how to sign up. Some individuals are automatically enrolled in Original Medicare, while others need to take action themselves to enroll in Original Medicare. This often depends on whether you are already receiving Social Security benefits.

✅Do not delay without a plan. Waiting too long to enroll without qualifying coverage can result in delayed coverage start dates and ongoing late-enrollment penalties.

✅Be aware of other options. If you are still working and covered under an employer plan, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period that can allow you to defer your enrollment. However, missing all enrollment windows can limit your options and increase costs, so it's best to clarify this early.

Medicare decisions can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate them alone. Whether you are approaching 65 or are simply evaluating your options, contact us for guidance tailored to your situation.

Your Medicare coverage should not be something you only think about once a year. Certain life changes, plan questions, or coverage issues are good reasons to reach out sooner to avoid surprises and make sure your plan still fits your needs.

Swipe to see when it is a good time to call your Medicare agent.

The best time to call your Medicare agent is before a small question becomes a bigger coverage problem. If you need help reviewing your plan, preparing for enrollment, or understanding a recent life change, contact our office.

Each year, Medicare drug plans can change what they cover, how much you pay, and the rules around your prescriptions. That means a medication that worked for you this year may cost more, or may not be covered at all, next year.

A simple prescription coverage review can help you:

✅Confirm your prescriptions are still covered under your plan.
✅Identify potential restrictions like prior authorization or step therapy.
✅Explore lower-cost or generic alternatives.
✅Avoid unexpected out-of-pocket expenses.

For questions about how your medications interact, speak with your pharmacist or prescribing physician.

With rising prescription costs and ongoing changes to Medicare drug coverage, reviewing your medications annually is one of the best ways to protect both your health and your budget.

If you have questions about your coverage or want help reviewing your current plan, we are here to help. Give us a call today, and we can get started.

When building a well-rounded benefits package, medical coverage is often the primary focus. However, adding group dental coverage can be a strategic way to enhance your offering, support employee well-being, and strengthen your overall benefits strategy.

Group dental plans are not only valuable. They are often more affordable than employers expect. In many cases, employer costs range from $9 to $14 per employee per month, depending on plan design and contribution structure. Swipe to learn more.

If you are considering adding group dental coverage to your company plan or reviewing your current benefits strategy, contact us. We are here to help you evaluate your options and build a package that supports both your business goals and your employees.

Summer is winding down, making it the perfect time to get your home ready for fall. Clean gutters, check heating systems, seal windows, and inspect smoke detectors before colder weather arrives. A little maintenance now can help prevent bigger issues later.

August is National Eye Exam Month, a perfect reminder to schedule your annual eye exam if you haven’t already.

A comprehensive annual eye exam is covered by most vision plans, meaning you can obtain this key preventive care as easily as scheduling your appointment.

Additionally, these exams can do more for your health than just update your prescription. Your eyes can reveal early warning signs of serious health conditions that you might not know about otherwise, including:

👁️ Hypertension - Irregularities in the eye's blood vessels can signal high blood pressure before other symptoms appear.
👁️ High cholesterol - A yellowish tint or patch around the cornea or eyelid may indicate elevated cholesterol levels.
👁️ Autoimmune disorders - Inflammation in the eye can be an early sign of conditions like lupus.
👁️ Thyroid disease - Bulging or protruding eyes are often associated with thyroid-related conditions.
👁️ Cancer - Unusual structures within the eye can indicate ocular melanoma, and changes around the eyelids may reveal certain skin cancers.

If it has been more than a year since your last eye exam, let this month be your reminder to get it on the calendar.

Not sure what your vision benefits cover? Give our team a call. We are happy to help you take a look.
