When I moved to Asheville seven years ago from being on the faculty at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, I wanted to bring my family to a place with clean air, clean water, and endless hiking trails. And my amazing wife, Kristie, my two daughters, Liana and Zoe, our German Shepherd Rohan, and I are often out hiking and exploring our beautiful Western North Carolina terrain.
