When you try to go cheap…. You get what you pay for 🙈

Cheaper is NOT better. A lot of us know this, and apply it in our daily lives.

But when it comes to shopping for mortgages… why are we making decisions based off of .2% differences?

People often think lowest rate/fees = their best option. But that’s often not true.

What you should look at instead:
-who can get me to closing ON TIME?
-who truly understands these transactions?
-who can solve potential problems when they pop up?
-who’s going to answer my calls after hours and on the weekends?
-who can I rely on and trust throughout my home purchase?

These things are WAY more important than seeing who can save you $200 on your total closing costs.

“Waiting for rates to drop” before you buy is actually costing you more ⬇️

✨ lower rates = higher demand ✨

There are a LOT of buyers sitting on the sidelines right now waiting for rates to go down. In reality, today’s rates may only increase your monthly payment by $100/month.

And when rates drop in the future? You can refinance. And you’re not competing with every other buyer who’s been watching rates for the last four years.

When more buyers enter the market, offers have to get more competitive, and purchase prices go up. While your rate may be lower, your purchase price may go up $20-30k (or more 😬)

So instead of basing your timeline on your interest-rate-crystal-ball 🔮, instead, look at the overall affordability of today’s monthly payment. Does it make sense for YOU and where you are in your life now?
