We enjoyed supporting the Venture Asheville Innovation Summit as part of Asheville Entrepreneurship Week.
It was a great day connecting with founders, investors, business owners, and community leaders from across Western North Carolina.
We particularly enjoyed discussing the challenges and opportunities business owners face when buying, growing, operating, and eventually transitioning their businesses. The exchange of ideas throughout the day was a powerful reminder of the talent, resilience, and entrepreneurial energy driving businesses across our region.
A special thank you to Jeffrey Kaplan and Matt Godfrey for their vision and leadership in putting together another outstanding event. Why look beyond the pitch? It's soccer.

Because some of the biggest stories from the 2026 World Cup weren't measured in goals, assists, or possession percentages. They were measured in economic activity, consumer spending, and business growth.

As the most-attended World Cup in history, with more than 6.8 million fans attending matches across North America, the tournament brought a wave of spending to local economies.

According to Bank of America, the World Cup generated an estimated $20 billion boost to the U.S. economy, while consumer spending in host cities increased 6.3% year over year. Spending by visitors surged 16.7%, benefiting hotels, restaurants, retailers, transportation providers, and countless small businesses.

For investors and consumers alike, it's a reminder that major events can create meaningful economic momentum. When millions of people travel, gather, celebrate, and spend, the effects ripple well beyond the stadium.

Our team had an amazing time last evening at the 128th Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting at the Grove Park Inn, Asheville, NC. What a perfect venue to celebrate the resilience of the incredible community we’re fortunate to call home.
Congratulations to all of the award winners, and a sincere thank you to the board member stepping down for your dedication and service—you’ve made a lasting impact.
I’m truly excited about the direction our community is heading and all the growth and opportunity that lies ahead in 2026 and 2027.

Great to step out of the office and spend some time focused on team strategic planning and connection. We had an awesome e-bike tour with The Flying Bike in Asheville—beautiful ride, great experience, and even better company. Grateful for this crew.

This past Saturday, Colton from our team teamed up with John Glover from the PGCG Group to take on the Jump Off Rock Half Marathon in Hendersonville.
13.1 miles, a great course, and a solid way to spend a Saturday.
Those smile’s in the picture? They definitely didn’t last the whole race!
All jokes aside—both got it done. Always great to see the team and partners pushing themselves outside the office and taking on new challenges.
Not a bad way to kick off the weekend.
