Big news for educators and school staff hoping to become homeowners ā CHFA is launching a new home loan program this July designed specifically for Colorado public school employees.
The goal of the program is to help school employees buy homes in the same communities where they work by offering affordable financing and significant down payment support.
Hereās what the program includes:
š” A 30-year fixed-rate mortgage
š° Down payment assistance of up to 25% of the first mortgage amount through a deferred-payment second loan
š A shared appreciation feature, where a portion of the homeās future appreciation is shared with the Public School Permanent Fund (PSPF)
This new program is intended to create more accessible homeownership opportunities for Coloradoās education workforce while helping buyers reduce upfront costs.
