A good agent helps you find the best plan for you, based on your health and budget. You can ask for their National Producer Number (NPN) agent number and their license. Agents in good standing can be found on the Department of Insurance website .

Agents are independent contractors who are paid when they enroll you in a plan. If you enroll in another plan with another agent, your agent loses your business. Each year agents must train and test in order provide professional guidance for you to make a good decision about your health care. A good agent will insure that your doctors and specialists are in network and make sure your prescriptions are covered.

You can depend on your agent to find the right plan at the right time - especially when you experience life changes. Your agent depends on you to contact them if you want to make a change or you want to discuss benefits you hear about from TV, family or friends.

Whatever you do - protect your Medicare number from the Plan Snatchers!!!
