Well the Open Enrollment is done for another year. If you didn't get enrolled remember at tax time 2017 that the penalty is $695 per person up to 3 people(children count as a 1/2) to a max of $2085 or 2.5% of Adjusted Gross Income whichever is Greater.

You can get enrolled if you have an event that triggers a Special Enrollment Period. The triggers are such things as Birth, death, marriage, divorce, lost group coverage, moved in from out of state, etc. If you have questions about the events please call me at 972 965-5114.

Hello to All,
I have been very lax in posting to this site. :(

One because I'm still not acclimated to FB, two, been busy with Open Enrollment and another project.

I now have my own Agency (licensed 12/7/2015) - Our Employee Health Partners w/Benefits. Will be offering Benefits to a Joint Venture partner - ATT - Human Asset Management Solutions. Will still be doing Individual and small group work but thru the Agency.

Right now if you haven't got your health coverage for 2016 you have 13 days to get enrolled. I have a private exchange site if you need to get enrolled. The site is jadeinsurance.acaexpress.com. As always if you need help or you have an acquaintance that needs help, please have them call or text me at 972 965-5114. Make sure they include things like their name and at least zip code.

Will try to be more vigilant with my posting in 2016. :)

For those not aware the 2016 Marketplace Open Enrollment began Sunday 11/1/2015 and goes through 1/31/2016. During this period there are no pre-existing conditions and plans for the most part are guaranteed issue. You can go to

Hello to All,
You may not be aware of this but September is "Life Insurance Awareness" Month. Life Insurance is not just a Death Benefit anymore. A properly developed Life Insurance policy can provide multiple levels of coverage from Chronic Illness, Terminal Illness, Supplement your retirement, Help provide financial help while your family grows to name just a few areas that can be made available to you. Hello again,
As you have no doubt heard the Supreme Court ruled in favor of keeping the subsidies for those on a Marketplace plan. For a lot of my clients this is a relief and one thing to take off their worry list.

We are now in the Off Season, which means if you don't have major medical coverage you will need to wait till 11/1/2015 for Open Enrollment. Exception to that is if you qualify for an Individual SEP (Special Enrollment Period). I'm including a link that has the information you need to know about the Off Season.

Greetings:
As mentioned back on 3/9 there is another SEP (Special Enrollment Period) It began on 3/15/15 and runs through 4/130/15. It is a SEP because a person needs to have filed their income tax (for a husband and wife should be a joint return) and had to pay a penalty. And if you paid a penalty and want to avoid next year's which is $325 or 2% of your income, you qualify to enroll and see if you qualify for a tax credit or not. If you don't qualify for a tax credit and still want to sign up for coverage remember there are no pre-existing conditions. This happens only during Open Enrollment or a SEP.
